On January 1, 2025, Groupe Mutuel launched a pilot project with Reseau DELTA Santé in Geneva to test an enhanced primary care model based on its OptiMed alternative health insurance product. The initiative combines advanced budgetary co-responsibility with a range of innovations designed to improve patient outcomes, experience, and access to care. These include free nurse-led consultations at 3 Points de Santé for minor medical emergencies, free prevention programs for chronic conditions and healthy ageing, consultations without co-payment (QP) with DELTA general practitioners, and systematic collection of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs). The pilot has grown to more than 22,000 insured persons and continues to serve as a platform for developing and evaluating value-based healthcare approaches. Groupe Mutuel and Reseau DELTA Santé are working together to ensure the long-term sustainability and expansion of this integrated care model.
