Overuse & Low-Value Care in Healthcare
A public event exploring the extent of medical overuse in Switzerland and its implications for healthcare quality, patient outcomes and costs.
This event presents findings from two Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) research projects on low-value care in outpatient settings, complemented by recent evidence from the hospital sector. Speakers will examine unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures, and explore how data-driven approaches can help identify medical overuse. The programme combines research findings, practical insights and discussion on reducing low-value care in the Swiss healthcare system.
The event takes place from 16:00 to 18:00, followed by an apéro. Participation is free, with registration open until October 23, 2026.
